El cable de ruptura multipropósito utiliza un cable simplex (fibra amortiguadora apretada de Φ900µm, hilo de aramida como elemento de resistencia) como subunidad. Un plástico reforzado con fibra (FRP) se ubica en el centro del núcleo como un miembro de resistencia no metálico. Las subunidades están trenzadas alrededor del núcleo del cable. El cable se completa con una cubierta de PVC o LSZH (Low smoke, Zero halógeno, ignífugo).
