Product Introduction

These cables are designed and most often used for the interconnection of telecommunications equipment. However, electricians have also found that these cables are useful in other applications, such as low-level signaling and where interconnection of control and communication equipment is required.

These cables are suitable for installation in outdoor conditions where the mechanical protection of an armored cable is not required. They are particularly suitable for fastening around buildings as the PE covering is strong, durable and UV resistant.

Characteristics

Core Construction: Solid Annealed Copper; size 24 AWG

Insulation: Double insulation consisting of an inner layer of expanded polyethylene surrounded by a solid polyethylene skin, color coded in accordance with telephone industry standards.

Twisted Pairs: Insulated conductors are twisted into pairs with different run lengths to minimize crosstalk

Core assembly: 25 pairs and less: pairs are assembled into a single group More than 25 pairs: pairs are organized into groups, each group has a color-coded drive folder.

Core Wrap: Longitudinally applied non-hygroscopic dielectric tape with an overlap

Aluminum Screen: 0.008" corrugated, copolymer-coated aluminum tape applied longitudinally with an overlay Sheath interfaces are flooded with a water-blocking adhesive compound

Jacket: Linear low-density polyethylene, black Application(s):
