Optical Fiber Composite Aerial Ground Cable (OPGW) is an aerial ground cable containing optical fiber. It has multiple functions, such as aerial ground cable and optical communication. It is mainly used for 110KV, 220KV, 500KV, 750KV communication lines and the new high-voltage overhead transmission system. It can also be used to replace the existing ground lines of the old overhead high voltage transmission system, add the optical communication line, transmit short duration current and provide lightning protection. Other structures can be customized upon request.
Braided Stainless Steel Tube
- Wire strands are replaced by fiber-filled stainless steel tubes
- Fiber tubes are helically twisted along the cables.
- Fiber deformation margin is increased relative to core tube designs
- Loaded buckling can be increased without inducing stress in the fiber.
